Therapy to Help You Live Life Again
Welcome! My name is Melanie Boccio, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York and a Telehealth Provider for Florida residents. I work with adults navigating anxiety and depression, especially those who seem to be doing “fine,” yet feel anxious, stuck, or exhausted beneath the surface. My approach is values-based and action-oriented, helping clients relate differently to distressing thoughts and emotions so they can move toward a life that feels more grounded, empowered, and authentic.
Come As You Are
In the (virtual) therapy room, my goal is to create an environment where you can show up as you are, feel genuinely heard, and free from judgment. Feeling truly seen and accepted is the foundation for change, and I’m committed to building that with you.
Here, It’s All About You
Have you ever wondered why you do the things you do? We take time to get to know you on a deeper level by exploring the “why” behind your thoughts and behaviors. This builds awareness and understanding of the patterns that shape your experiences.
Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
Therapy sessions are offered exclusively via secure Zoom video calls, so you can show up from the comfort of home. While I'm licensed for in-person therapy in New York, I’m currently seeing all clients through telehealth.

Where Passion Meets Purpose
Today, I’m proud to be in private practice doing the work I love, and my journey here was shaped by both professional training and personal experience. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University and have supported clients through substance use, couples work, and group therapy.
I love this work because it gives me the opportunity to walk alongside clients during such significant and transformative moments in their lives, and I am deeply honored to be part of their process.
“I sought therapy with Melanie due to day-to-day anxiety, often spending hours fixated on minor events or catastrophizing future scenarios. Right off the bat she was easy to connect with, and I felt like I was in a safe space. She helped me establish my goals for therapy, and throughout our work together, she was diligent in checking in on the progress of said goals and offering ways we could get closer to reaching them. Melanie gave me a toolbox full of techniques to help with my anxiety, people-pleasing, and catastrophizing. I feel more confident in my thoughts and feelings, as well as drawing boundaries. I highly recommend her if you're looking for someone who is attentive, professional, warm, and relatable.”
