Therapy to Help You Live Life Again
My name is Melanie Boccio, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York, as well as an out-of-state Telehealth Provider for Florida residents. I use a values-based and change-oriented approach, helping clients learn the skills to overcome distressing thoughts, emotional barriers, and maladaptive behaviors. I am passionate about helping individuals move toward empowerment and an authentic, values-driven life.
Come As You Are
In the (virtual) therapy room, my goal is to create an environment where you can show up as you are, feel genuinely heard, and free from judgment. Feeling truly seen and accepted is the foundation for change, and I’m committed to building that with you.
Here, It’s All About You
There comes a moment when we realize it’s time to do things differently. Whether you’re dealing with racing thoughts, low self-esteem, or discomfort of uncertainty, I help you explore and understand your patterns and create healthier, values-based change, one session at a time.
Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
Therapy sessions are offered exclusively via secure Zoom video calls, so you can show up from the comfort of home. While I'm licensed for in-person therapy in New York, I’m currently seeing all clients through telehealth.

Where Passion Meets Purpose
Today, I’m proud to be in private practice doing the work I love, and my journey here was shaped by both professional training and personal experience. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University and have supported clients through substance use, couples work, and group therapy.
I love this work because it gives me the opportunity to walk alongside clients during such significant and transformative moments in their lives, and I am deeply honored to be part of their process.
“I sought therapy with Melanie due to day-to-day anxiety, often spending hours fixated on minor events or catastrophizing future scenarios. Right off the bat she was easy to connect with, and I felt like I was in a safe space. She helped me establish my goals for therapy, and throughout our work together, she was diligent in checking in on the progress of said goals and offering ways we could get closer to reaching them. Melanie gave me a toolbox full of techniques to help with my anxiety, people-pleasing, and catastrophizing. I feel more confident in my thoughts and feelings, as well as drawing boundaries. I highly recommend her if you're looking for someone who is attentive, professional, warm, and relatable.”
